It has been lovely to meet the people wandering through the exhibition space of late. Thank you all for your interest and curious questions. "How do you do that?" has been the top score. There is a little about my process on this site and I will be in and out of the gallery over the next few weeks. If you would like to catch me and have a chat about my works drop me a line and I will let you know when I am in the gallery. Otherwise the cataloque and m mini slide show give you a fair insight into my works and my deep love and respect for our natural world. Slow down take a moment and come and have a look. I hope you love what you see.

Finally, after many months of delving into the watery depths the big Sea Bed piece is off to the framers!! It is sorely tempting to have the perspex of the frame removable so that I can add just one more fish or coral to this complex environment. I could go on forever, but alas other subjects call me and it is a bit nice to see my work surface again! So glad to take part in this community project. The most amazing bunch of positive, inspiring women have come together to create a mini reef. (It is actually quite enormous!) They are teaching me new skills and spur me in new directions with my own work. This might mean taking a scalpel to a perfectly good silk background to give it more flow!
(Thanks Barb!) And so it begins....
I know it is almost April. I have been a little busy these past few months packing off my adventurous husband to work on the sub antarctic station at Macquarie Island. Think half way between Tasmania and Antarctica. There was a fair bit of organising and visits across the country before he finally sailed on Saturday, 26th March. Amidst all this going on I managed to write a submission with Robyn McLean, a fellow participant in the Art in the Park program. Yeah we won a place!!!! So again my office is out at the Territory Wildlife Park. Thank you Boo for your awesome post here: http://bippidiiboppidii.com/busy-hands-big-hearts/ I can only echo the sentiment of embracing the creative community. I am greatly looking forward a year of inspirational connections. Look out for displays of works completed so far in the coming months. What a treat to spend time with cutie Dot having morning tea on her cuddle cushion.
So great to spend time at the Territory Wildlife Park. Some gorgeous little bubs are able to be fed in a very special Xmas animal encounter. These cushions, Dot and her mate Ginger the Northern Quoll are available in limited numbers at Pour Cafe Rapid Creek. Yummy coffee too! Lovely to meet those who attended the Territory Made market at the Gardens yesterday. It was beautiful weather to be outdoors, even though we were tucked away. Lampshades are available via text message or email contact at the moment, whilst my Etsy store is having a makeover.
I"m likin' the lichen. It is everywhere in Tassie. This is the start of some silk for a table lamp inspired by the trees at the Tahune Airwalk in Southern Tasmania. Awonderful day spent with great friends. It was even warm (even for A Darwin Girl!!!!!)
